Cruise Control Module: Installation

1998 GMC Cab & Chassis C2500, 5.7 KSECTION Installation

  1. Install the cruise control module (2) to the bracket.
  2. Install the module to bracket fasteners. Tighten the fasteners to 66 INCH lbs. (7.5 N.m).
  3. Install the cruise control module and bracket assembly to the vehicle.
  4. Install the module retaining fasteners (1, 3). Tighten the fasteners to 80 INCH lbs. (9 N.m).
  5. Connect the electrical connector (2) to the cruise control module. See Fig 1.
  6. Install cruise control cable from the cruise control module. See CRUISE CONTROL CABLE (3.5L V6)  or CRUISE CONTROL CABLE (4.0L V8)  .
  7. Inspect the component operation.
