Code 1573, Traction Control Loss Of Abs/TCS Serial Data: Notes
Control module uses serial data line to communicate to other vehicle systems and components. If control module does not receive data from EBTCM, control module will store Code 1573, indicating a loss of communication with ABS/TCS system. With a current Code 1573 stored, control module will not be able to communicate with EBTCM. This will cause EBTCM to set an ABS Code 75, disable traction control system and light TCS or SERVICE TRAC CTL indicator. Code 1573 does light SERVICE ENGINE SOON light.
- Checks if EBTCM is able to transmit data and ensures serial data circuit is not open.
