Power Seat Does Not Move Forward/Rearward
1995 GMC Safari Van Passenger, AWDSECTION Power Seat Does Not Move Forward/Rearward
- Connect jumper wire between power seat switch assembly connector Dark Blue and Black wires. Momentarily connect another jumper wire between Tan and Orange wires. If motor does not move, go to next step. If motor moves, replace power seat switch assembly.
- Connect jumper wire between power seat switch assembly connector Tan and Black wires. Momentarily connect another jumper wire between Dark Blue and Orange wires. If motor does not move, go to next step. If motor moves, replace power seat switch assembly.
- Connect jumper wire between power seat switch assembly connector Tan and Dark Blue wires. Remove connector from forward/rearward motor. Using an ohmmeter, check Tan and Dark Blue wires for continuity. If continuity is present, replace forward/rearward motor. If continuity is not present, repair open circuit in Tan and/or Light Green wires.
