Speed (Cruise) Control Servo

  1. Turn ignition switch and speed (cruise) control switch to ON position. Using a voltmeter, connect negative lead to a good chassis ground. Disconnect speed control servo 4-pin connector. Measure voltage at servo connector terminal No. 2 (Dark Blue/Red). If battery voltage is not present, check for loose connections, check brake switch adjustment, or repair circuit as necessary.
  2. If battery voltage is present, connect a jumper wire between servo connector terminal No. 2 (Dark Blue/Red wire) and speed control servo terminal No. 2. Battery voltage should be present at servo's 3 remaining terminals. If battery voltage is not present, replace servo.
  3. If battery voltage is present, turn ignition off. Connect one lead of ohmmeter to good chassis ground. Using other lead, probe servo connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire). If no continuity exists, repair open in Black wire (ground circuit). If continuity exists, test is complete.
