Removal (Astro & Safari)

- Unload power steering pump belt tensioner. Remove power steering pump belt. Remove hood latch and upper radiator fan shroud. Using Pulley Remover (J-29785-A), remove pulley from pump shaft.NOTE: DO NOTΒ discharge A/C system.
- On A/C-equipped models, remove A/C compressor and secure it aside. Place drain pan under steering pump assembly. Disconnect return and feed lines from steering pump. Cap ends of lines and steering pump fittings. Remove pump mounting bolts and remove pump.
