Master Cylinder: Reassembly

1992 GMC Jimmy Base, 2D Utility, 4.3 Z, RWD, StandardSECTION Reassembly
  1. Lubricate NEW seals and cylinder bore with clean brake fluid. Fit NEW back seal into groove in plunger. See Fig 1. Install shim and NEW front seal on plunger, with flat side against shim. Install seal support and spring.
  2. Carefully install plunger assembly into cylinder bore. Depress plunger with push rod, and seat snap ring in groove. Lightly grease inside of dust cover and install. Install NEW adapter seal into master cylinder and press reservoir adapter into place.
