- On models with Tilt column, feed connector through housing and under mounting bracket, then install cover on harness. On models without Tilt column, ensure wiring harness is in protector, then feed connector and cover down through housing and under mounting bracket. On all models, install three mounting screws and clip connector to bracket on jacket. Install column to instrument panel trim plate. Install hazard warning knob and directional signal lever.
- Position switch in "Neutral" and hazard warning knob in the out position. Slide thrust washer, upper bearing preload spring and cancelling cam onto upper end of shaft. Position lock plate onto end of shaft. Install new snap ring while using a suitable compressing tool (J-23653) to compress lock plate. Place cover on end of shaft and tighten screws. Install steering wheel
