Steering Columns: Description
All models with column shift have linkage integral with column. Tilt wheel columns were available from 1972 on. Collapsible or energy-absorbing columns were used on "C" and "K" models beginning in 1973. Use of column locking devices in conjunction with ignition switch began in 1973.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
