| 68 | This DTC sets when the SASM temperature equals or exceeds 100 degrees C (212 degrees F). SET the ignition to OFF and WAIT at least 5 minutes. SET the ignition to ON and, using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the SASM Module Reset routine. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the SECM DTCs. SET the ignition to OFF and then START the engine and WAIT at least 20 seconds for the SECM to wake up and test the adaptive steering system. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the SECM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new SASM-clockspring assembly. REFER to the Supplemental Restraint System article. |
| 98 | This DTC sets when the SASM temperature equals or exceeds 115 degrees C (239 degrees F). SET the ignition to OFF and WAIT at least 5 minutes. SET the ignition to ON and, using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the SASM Module Reset routine. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the SECM DTCs. SET the ignition to OFF and then START the engine and WAIT at least 20 seconds for the SECM to wake up and test the adaptive steering system. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the SECM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new SASM-clockspring assembly. REFER to the Supplemental Restraint System article. |
| 9F | Sets when the SECM detects the SASM high power switch is shorted to ground. The switch is an internal component of the SASM. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the SASM self-test. DIAGNOSE all SASM DTCs. REFER to the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control article. If there are no DTCs in the SASM, using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the SASM Module Reset routine. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CLEAR the SECM DTCs. SET the ignition to OFF and then START the engine and WAIT at least 20 seconds for the SECM to wake up and test the adaptive steering system. Using a diagnostic scan tool, CARRY OUT the SECM self-test. If the DTC returns, INSTALL a new SASM-clockspring assembly. REFER to the Supplemental Restraint System article. |
