P02E1 - DIESEL INTAKE AIR FLOW CONTROL PERFORMANCE

Description:  This DTC sets when the PCM detects a concern with the intake throttle position versus the desired position, the throttle does not return to the open position when commanded or a broken return spring concern is present.
Possible Causes: 
  • Damaged intake throttle actuator
Diagnostic Aids:  The presence of this DTC may indicate that the vehicle is operating in derate mode and may experience a loss of power. After repair, the vehicle may still display a system warning message. Drive the vehicle until the system warning message has cleared from the instrument cluster message center.
Check the intake throttle for a damaged return spring.
