Fuel Pump Driver Module (FPDM): Removal

2021 Ford Transit-350 HD Base, Van Cargo Extended, 3.5L Eng VIN 8, AWDSECTION Removal

All Vehicles 

  1. The fuel pump driver module is located on the front side of the crossmember above the fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Charging and Controls - Component Location .

    Full Body 

  2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  3. Disconnect the fuel pump driver module electrical connector.

  4. Release the fuel pump driver module retaining tab, then remove the fuel pump driver module from the bracket.

  5. Only if needed, remove the fuel pump driver module bracket bolts, then remove the bracket.

    Chassis Cab 

  6. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to: Fuel Tank .
  7. Disconnect the fuel pump driver module electrical connector.

  8. Release the fuel pump driver module retaining tab, then remove the fuel pump driver module from the bracket.

  9. Only if needed, remove the fuel pump driver module bracket bolts, then remove the bracket.
