Gear Shift Module (GSM) - Vehicles With: Console Shift: Installation

2021 Ford Transit-350 HD Base, Van Cargo Extended, 3.5L Eng VIN 8, AWDSECTION Installation

  1. Install the GSM and the bolts.

    Torque: 40 lb.in (4.5 Nm)

  2. Install the GSM bolt access panel.

  3. Install the GSM stow mat.

  4. Install the floor console top trim panel.

    1. Connect the electrical connectors.
    2. Attach the top floor console trim panel clips.

  5. Close the floor console door.

  6. Install the floor console bolts.

    Torque: 48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)

    1. Position the front seats forward.
    2. Install the floor console bolts.

      Torque: 48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)

  7. Position the front seats back.

  8. Connect the RH electrical connector.

  9. Connect the LH electrical connectors.

  10. Install the floor console upper LH trim panel.

  11. Install the floor console lower LH trim panel and the screw.

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)
