- H1 CHECK FOR DTCS
Are DTCs P0171, P0172, P0174, P0175, P1137, P1138, P1157, P1158, P2195, P2196, P2197, P2198, P219A, P219B, P219C, P219D, P219E, P219F, P21A0, P21A1, P2270, P2271, P2272, P2273, P2BEC, P2BED, P2BEE, P2BEF, P2BF0, P2BF1, P2BF2 or P2BF3 present?
Yes No For DTCs P1137, P1138, P1157, P1158, P2270, P2271, P2272 or P2273, GO to H3.
For all others, GO to H2.RETURN to Symptom Charts for further direction. - H2 RICH OR LEAN SYSTEM DTCS NOTE: All PIDs may not be available on all vehicles.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
- • You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
- • You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
