- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the front driveshaft. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .
- If equipped. Remove the skid plate bolts and the skid plate.
- Remove the front output shaft seal dust cover.
- Remove and discard the front output shaft seal.
