Intake Manifold: Installation
2021 Ford Edge SE, 4WDSECTION Installation

NOTE:
If the engine is repaired or replaced because of upper engine failure, typically including valve or piston damage, check the intake manifold for metal debris. If metal debris if found, install a new intake manifold. Failure to follow these instructions can result in engine damage.
- Install the gaskets.
- Install the intake manifold and tighten the bolts.
Torque : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
- Attach the engine wiring harness and vacuum hose retainers.

- Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors and attach the harness and vacuum hose retainers.
- Slide the insulator down to cover the CHT electrical connector.
- Attach the wiring harness retainers.

- Position the vacuum harness pressure sensor and install the bolt.
Torque : 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Connect the wiring harness electrical connectors.
- Attach the wiring harness and vacuum harness retainers.
- Position the vacuum harness pressure sensor and install the bolt.
- Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connectors and retainers.
- Connect the vacuum tube quick release couplings. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING

- Position the PCV tube and connect the quick release couplings. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING
- Attach the PCV tube retainer. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING
- Connect the crankcase pressure sensor electrical connector.

- Slide the EVAP purge valve onto the intake manifold mounting tab.
- Connect the EVAP purge valve electrical connector.
- Connect the EVAP tube quick release coupling. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING

- Install the PCV tube and connect the quick release couplings. Refer to: QUICK RELEASE COUPLING
- Connect the throttle body electrical connector and wiring harness retainer.
- Install the upper CAC outlet pipe and tighten the clamps.
Torque : 48 lb.in (5.4 Nm)
- Install the upper RHCAC intake pipe. Refer to: CHARGE AIR COOLER (CAC) INTAKE PIPE

- Install the engine appearance cover and the nut.
Torque : 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)
- Install the bolt.
Torque : 93 lb.in (10.5 Nm)
- Install the engine appearance cover and the nut.
- Connect the battery ground cable. Refer to: BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
