Power Transfer Unit Coolant Pump: Removal

2021 Ford Edge SE, 4WDSECTION Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview
  2. If equipped, remove the underbody shield.

  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding
  4. Disconnect the auxiliary pump connector and retainers.

  5. Release the clamps and disconnect the hoses.

  6. Remove the nuts and the PTU coolant pump.

    Torque

    : 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
