  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    The front sounder is controlled by the PACM. Distorted sound is often caused by either debris surrounding the sounder area or a sounder.

    Possible Sources 

    • Debris surrounding the sounder
    • Front sounder

  2. B1 INSPECT THE SOUNDER

    • INSPECT and CLEAR any debris around the sounder.

    Is any debris present around the sounder? 

    Yes  CLEAR the debris from the sounder area.
    No  INSTALL a new sounder. REFER to: Pedestrian Alert System Speaker . .
