Ignition Coil-On-Plug: Removal

2021 Ford Edge SE, 4WDSECTION Removal

  1. Remove the engine appearance cover retainers and then remove the engine appearance cover.

  2. Disconnect the LH ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors and detach the wiring harness retainers.

  3. Disconnect the RH ignition coil-on-plug electrical connectors and detach the wiring harness retainers.

  4. Use compressed air to remove any foreign material from the ignition coil-on-plugs and surrounding area before removal.
  5. NOTE: When removing the ignition coil-on-plugs, a slight twisting motion will break the seal and ease removal.

    Remove the ignition coil-on-plug studbolts and remove the ignition coil-on-plugs.

    Torque

    : 53 lb.in (6 Nm)
