Engine Mount RH: Removal
4x2/4x4Β
- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Disconnect the battery ground cable. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Remove the following items:
- RH (right hand) air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe RH .
- LH (left hand) air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe LH .
- RHCAC intake pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Intake Pipe .
- CAC (charge air cooler) outlet pipe. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) Outlet Pipe .

NOTE: If equipped.
Remove the fasteners and the underbody shield.

NOTE: If equipped.
Remove the bolts and the skid plate.

NOTE: If equipped.
Remove the fasteners and the underbody shield.
- Remove the following items:
- Starter motor. Refer to: Starter Motor .
- Accessory drive belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt - Vehicles With: Dual Generators .
- If equipped, secondary generator. Refer to: Generator - 2.7L EcoBoost (238kW/324PS) .

- Remove the pin-type retainer.
- Remove the bolt and ground wire.
- Remove the RH fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
- Remove the bolts and position the A/C compressor aside.

- Remove the exhaust Y-pipe dual catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe bolts and separate.
- Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts or damage to the transmission mount can occur.
Loosen the transmission mount-to-crossmember nuts.
4x4Β
- Remove the front drive shaft. Refer to: Front Driveshaft
.
4x2Β
- Remove and discard the stabilizer bar bracket nuts.
- Allow the stabilizer bar to swing downward.
4x2/4x4Β

NOTE: Only use hand tools when loosening the engine mount through bolts or damage to the engine mount-to-cylinder block bracket can occur.
Remove and discard the LH engine mount through bolt.

NOTE: Only use hand tools when removing the engine mount nuts, stud bolts or damage to the engine mount can occur.
Remove and discard the RH engine mount nuts.
- Remove the studs.

- Position an adjustable stand and wood block under transmission bellhousing. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands
- Raise the engine 50 mm (2 in).
- Remove and discard the engine mount bracket-to-engine bolts.
- Remove the engine mount and bracket as an assembly.
- Clean the engine mount bracket-to-cylinder block and engine mount-to-frame mating surfaces of any dirt or foreign material prior to installation.
