Differential Housing Cover: Removal

2021 Ford Edge SE, 4WDSECTION Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. If equipped. Remove the bolts and the skid plate.

  3. Remove the bolts and the engine oil pan skid plate.

  4. If equipped.

    1. Remove and discard the push pins.
    2. Remove the steering gear shield from the frame rail.

  5. Disconnect the front differential breather hose and position aside.

  6. If equipped. Disconnect the EOP sensor electrical connector.

  7. Remove the differential cover bolts and differential cover.
