DTC DESCRIPTION P2085 - EXHAUST GAS TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT INTERMITTENT (BANK 1 SENSOR 2)

Description:  This DTC sets when an intermittent concern is detected in the EGT12 circuit.
Possible Causes: 
  • EGT12 circuit intermittent open
  • EGT12 circuit intermittent short to ground
  • EGT12 circuit intermittent short to voltage
  • Incorrect connections
  • Damaged exhaust gas temperature bank 1, sensor 2 (EGT12)
Diagnostic Aids:  Harness routing, harness alterations, or incorrect shielding may have an intermittent impact on the EGT12 circuit.
