The ABS module carries out self tests during operation, the module also monitors various inputs and compares the values to what should be expected. If the values received are out of range, are not what is expected, or if any of the self tests fail, the ABS module sets a DTC.Β

PPT Y ABS MODULE DTC FAULT TRIGGER CONDITIONS

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
C1A76:49 Valve Relay: Internal Electronic Failure This DTC sets when the valve relay circuit feedback does not match the commanded state.
C1A77:11 Valve Relay Supply Circuit: Circuit Short To Ground This DTC sets when the monitoring detects UVR voltage compared to the UBVR voltage indicates the valve relay has a high impedance short to ground.
U2007:49 Valve(s): Internal Electronic Failure This DTC sets due to an electrical failure (open circuit, short to ground, short to voltage) in one or more of the HCU valve coils.
U2014:92 Control Module Hardware: Performance or Incorrect Operation The HCU has a set service life, once the recommended hours of operation is reached, this DTC is set.
U2017:93 Control Module Software #2: No Operation This DTC sets when the RSC function is not initialized after stable driving conditions are achieved.
U3000:38 Control Module: Signal Frequency Incorrect Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U3000:44 Control Module: Data Memory Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U3000:45 Control Module: Program Memory Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U3000:46 Control Module: Calibration/Parameter Memory Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U3000:47 Control Module: Watchdog/Safety Micro-Controller Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U3000:48 Control Module: Supervisor Software Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U3000:49 Control Module: Internal Electronic Failure Sets when the ABS module detects an internal fault.
U3000:4B Control Module: Over Temperature Sets when the ABS module detects excessive temperature within the ABS module.

When to See a Mechanic

Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

  • β€’ You smell fuel, burning insulation, or see smoke.
  • β€’ Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
  • β€’ The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
  • β€’ You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
  • β€’ You are not confident in the next step or safety outcome.
