The SASM requires the current vehicle configuration information to operate correctly. Vehicle configuration information is sent to the SASM from the BCM over the HS-CAN each time the ignition is set to ON. The SASM stores this information for later use. When the ignition is set to ON following the installation of a new BCM, the vehicle configuration information stored in the SASM does not match the configuration information sent by the newly installed BCM. Once the BCM has been programmed with the vehicle configuration information, the SASM DTCs must be cleared and the ignition must be cycled from ON to OFF and back to ON again.Β

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
U0300:00 Internal Control Module Software Incompatibility: No Sub Type Information Sets when the vehicle configuration information transmitted by the BCM does not match what is stored in the SASM. Incomplete or improper flash programming procedures, swapping modules between vehicles or an internal failure of one or more modules causes a mismatch of vehicle configuration information between the modules.
