Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
With the ignition ON, the IPC sends messages to the GWM over the HS-CAN 3, the GWM relays these messages to the ABS module over the HS-CAN 2. If the ABS module does not receive these messages within the specified time frame, the module sets a DTC. This can be due to a GWM failure, an IPC failure, a circuit failure on the network or an excessive load on the network. For information on the messages sent to the ABS module by the IPC, refer to the appropriate Network Message Chart in Description and Operation in the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) and Stability Control article.Β
| DTC | Description | Fault Trigger Conditions |
|---|---|---|
| U0155:00 | Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module: No Sub Type Information | This DTC sets if the ABS module does not receive any messages from the IPC. |
| U0155:68 | Lost Communication With Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) Control Module 'A' Event Information | This DTC when the ABS module does not receive thefollowing messages from the IPC ; selectable drive modedisplay, selectable drive mode test reset, hill descent controlswitch, odometer master value, or traction control switch. This can be due to a IPC failure, a circuit failure on the HS-CAN or an excessive load on the network. |
