The monitors the steering wheel angle from an integrated sensor and compares that to data received by other modules. If a discrepancy is detected the SASM sets a DTC.Β

C1B00:85 Steering Angle Sensor: Signal Above Allowable Range Sets when the SASM detects the steering wheel angle does not match the actual steering angle of the front wheels.
