Engine Rear Cover: Installation
2021 Ford Edge SE, 4WDSECTION Installation

- Install a new engine rear cover gasket.

NOTE: To prevent engine damage, replace damaged or missing dowel pins before installing the engine rear cover.
Install the engine rear cover and the bolts.
Torque:
Tighten bolts 1 through 9 to : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)
Tighten bolt 10 to : 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)

NOTE: Do not use magnetic screwdrivers or other magnetic tools around the CKP sensor and the crankshaft sensor pulse ring or damage to the components may occur.
Connect the CKP sensor electrical connector.
- Install the turbocharger downpipe bracket bolt.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Refer to: Crankshaft Rear SealΒ .
- Refer to: Upper Oil PanΒ .
- Install the upper oil level indicator and tube. Refer to: Oil Level Indicator and TubeΒ .
