Check 

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the differential fill plug.

  3. If draining is needed. Using a general equipment, remove as much fluid as possible from front axle.. Use the General Equipment: Fluid Suction Gun

  4. Check and top off the differential with differential gear lubricant. The differential gear lubricant level should be within 3mm (0.118 in.) from the fluid level fill plug opening. Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS 

    Material: Motorcraft® SAE 80W-90 Premium Rear Axle Lubricant / XY-80W90-QL (WSP-M2C197-A)

  5. Install the front differential fill plug.

    Torque: 20 lb.ft (27 Nm)
