Side Obstacle Detection Control Module: Removal

  1. NOTE: If installing a new side obstacle detection (SOD) control module, it is necessary to upload the module configuration information to the scan tool prior to removing the module. This information must be downloaded into the new SOD control module after installation

    Using a diagnostic scan tool, begin the PMI process for the side obstacle detection (SOD) control module following the on-screen instructions.

  2. Remove the rear lamp assembly. Refer to: Rear Lamp Assembly .
  3. Remove the screws and the side obstacle detection (SOD) control module assembly.

  4. Remove the screws, disconnect the electrical connector and remove the side obstacle detection (SOD) control module.
