P2185 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 2 CIRCUIT HIGH

Description:  This DTC sets when the secondary cooling system engine coolant temperature 2 (ECT2) sensor value is greater than the self-test maximum of 4.6 volts or -50°C (-58°F).
Possible Causes: 
  • ECT2 circuit open
  • ECT2 short to voltage
  • Damaged secondary cooling system ECT2 sensor
  • ECT2 wiring concern
Diagnostic Aids:  An ECT2 PID reading greater than 4.6 volts with the ignition ON, engine OFF or during any engine operating mode indicates a concern is present.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST K .
