P2043 (DCU) - REDUCTANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE

Description:  The reductant dosage control module completes a plausibility check on the reductant temperature sensor after a 6 hour cold soak by comparing the reductant temperature signal to the ambient air temperature and engine coolant temperature signals on startup. This DTC sets when the reductant temperature difference compared to the ambient air temperature and engine coolant temperature is greater than 20°C (36°F).
Possible Causes:
  • Slow responding reductant temperature sensor
  • Damaged reductant temperature sensor
