P0115 - ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR 1 CIRCUIT

Description:  This DTC sets when the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor signal falls below or exceeds the calibrated threshold at any time during the key ON, engine running (KOER) self-test.
Possible Causes: 
  • Engine not operating long enough prior to carrying out the KOER self-test
  • Low engine coolant level
  • Damaged thermostat
  • Damaged ECT sensor
  • Damaged PCM
Diagnostic Aids:  Make sure the intake air and engine coolant temperatures are similar when the engine is cold. Make sure the ECT sensor and the actual engine operating temperatures are the same.
Application  Key On Engine Off  Key On Engine Running  Continuous Memory 
All GO to PINPOINT TEST K .
