Block Heater: Removal

2021 Ford Edge SE, 4WDSECTION Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and BleedingΒ .
  3. NOTE: Make sure the block heater wiring is routed and secured away from rotating or hot components.

    Disconnect the block heater electrical connector.

  4. Remove the block heater.

    Torque: 35 lb.in (4 Nm)
