Harness Side

  1. R1: CHECK THE IPMA (IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE A) COMMUNICATION NETWORK 
    NOTE: The IPMA is also known as the Advanced Drive Assistance System (ADAS) module. 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the Network Test.

    Did the IPMA pass the Network Test? 

    Yes No
    Diagnose all IPMA  Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS). REFER to Rear View Mirrors . If there are no IPMA Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs), Go to  R2. Go to  R2.
  2. R2: RECHECK FOR THE ABS (ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM) MODULE DTC (DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE)S 
    • Clear the ABS DTCs.
    • Put the ABS module in sleep mode by performing the following steps:
      • With ALL doors closed, set the ignition from ON to OFF.
      • Disconnect the diagnostic scan tool.
      • Open the door, exit the vehicle and close the door.
      • Wait a minimum of 90 seconds for the ABS module to enter sleep mode.
    • Ignition ON.
    • Carry out the ABS self-test.

    Are any of the DTCs listed in the DTC Fault Trigger Conditions Table retrieved again? 

    Yes No
    Go to  R3. The system is operating correctly at this time. The DTC may have been set due to high network traffic or an intermittent fault condition.
  3. R3: RETRIEVE THE IPMA (IMAGE PROCESSING MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) 
    NOTE: The IPMA is also known as the Advanced Drive Assistance System (ADAS) module. 
    • Ignition ON.
    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, carry out the IPMA module self-test.

    Are any IPMA Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present? 

    Yes No
    DIAGNOSE the IPMA Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). REFER to Lane Keeping System . Go to  R4.
  4. R4: CHECK FOR OTHER CAUSES OF COMMUNICATION NETWORK CONCERN 
    NOTE: The IPMA is also known as the Advanced Drive Assistance System (ADAS) module.
