DTC DESCRIPTION P06B6 - INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE KNOCK SENSOR PROCESSOR 1 PERFORMANCE
| Description: This DTC sets when the PCM has detected an error condition or communication concern with the knock sensor (KS) processor integrated circuit. | |||

| Diagnostic Aids:
This DTC may be accompanied by other DTCs. Diagnose all other DTCs first. If no other DTCs are present, verify no base engine concerns are present before continuing with diagnosis. Refer to the
Engine System General Information article. Inspect the ignition coils and spark plug wires for correct connections. Inspect the ignition coils and boot for carbon tracking, damage, or incorrectly installed boots. Inspect the spark plugs for damage, wear, carbon tracking or deposits and correct spark plug gap. Clear the DTCs. Repeat the self-test. If the DTC is retrieved again, install a new PCM. Refer to FLASH ELECTRICALLY ERASABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY (EEPROM) , Programming the VID Block for a Replacement PCM. |
