DTC DESCRIPTION P062F - INTERNAL CONTROL MODULE EEPROM ERROR

Description:  The PCM read only memory (ROM) has been corrupted.
Possible Causes: 
  • Aftermarket performance products
  • An attempt was made to change the calibration
  • PCM programming error
  • PCM internal software error
  • Damaged PCM
Diagnostic Aids:  Check for other DTCs and diagnose those first. Check for aftermarket performance products. Reprogram or update the calibration. Clear the DTCs and repeat the self-test. If the DTC is retrieved again, carry out the passive anti-theft system (PATS) parameter reset. Clear the DTCs and repeat the self-test. If the DTC is retrieved again, install a new PCM, refer to FLASH ELECTRICALLY ERASABLE PROGRAMMABLE READ ONLY MEMORY (EEPROM) , Programming the VID Block for a Replacement PCM.
