DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

DTC Description Fault Trigger Conditions
B1012:11 Heated Windshield Switch: Circuit Short To Ground This DTC sets when the BCM detects the heated windshield switch input has been active for greater than 60 seconds.
B1012:23 Heated Windshield Switch: Signal Stuck Low This DTC sets when the BCM detects the heated windshield switch is active during self-test.
B1097:12 Heated Windshield Relay: Circuit Short To Battery This DTC sets when the BCM detects a short to voltage on the heated windshield relay control circuit.
B1097:14 Heated Windshield Relay: Circuit Short To Ground or Open This DTC sets when the BCM detects a short to ground or an open in the heated windshield relay control circuit.
B1133:11 Heated Windshield LED: Circuit Short To Ground This DTC sets when the BCM detects a short to ground on the heated windshield LED circuit.
B1133:15 Heated Windshield LED: Circuit Short To Battery Or Open This DTC sets when the BCM detects an open or short to voltage in the heated windshield LED circuit.

Possible Causes 

  • Fuse(s)
  • Heated windshield relay
  • Wiring, terminals or connectors
  • Heated windshield switch
  • Heated windshield grid
  • BCM

Visual Inspection and Diagnostic Pre-checks 

  • Verify the BJB fuse 23 (5A), 14 (40A) and 16 (40A) are OK.
  • Inspect the heated windshield relay.
  • Inspect the heated windshield grid and electrical connectors for damage.
