Crankcase Ventilation Sensor

2018 Ford F-450 Super Duty Lariat, 4D Pickup Crew Cab, 4WDSECTION Crankcase Ventilation Sensor

The crankcase ventilation sensor is a hall effect sensor mounted on the crankcase ventilation hose at the air inlet connection. The crankcase ventilation separator is mounted on the driver side rocker cover, with the crankcase ventilation hose connecting the separator to the crankcase ventilation sensor at the air inlet of the turbocharger. The crankcase ventilation hose on the separator side has a tamper proof connector. The crankcase ventilation sensor monitors the crankcase ventilation hose connection at the air inlet of the turbocharger. The crankcase ventilation sensor signal to the PCM indicates if the crankcase ventilation hose is connected or disconnected.
