Removal and Installation

NOTE:
For parts identification and location, refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW, FRONT, CENTERΒ .
- Remove the seat. For additional information, refer to SEAT - FRONT, CENTERΒ .
- Remove the rear cupholder.
- Remove the 2 rear cupholder screws.
- If equipped, disconnect the power point electrical connector.
- Remove the LH side shield.
- Remove the 2 LH side shield screws.
- Release the pin-type retainer.
- Remove the backrest latch cover.
- Remove the backrest stop bolt.
- To install, tighten to 18 Nm (159 lb-in).
- Remove the backrest pivot bolt.
- To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
- Remove the safety belt anchor bolt.
- To install, tighten to 45 Nm (33 lb-ft).
- Remove the 2 backrest latch upper bolts and backrest.
- To install, tighten to 60 Nm (44 lb-ft).

NOTE: Before installation, make sure the safety belt webbing is not twisted and the safety belts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
