NOTE: Failure of a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) component may not cause a DTC to be stored. The Symptom Chart is a starting point to begin diagnosis of these concerns.

TPMS /Vehicle Security Module (VSM) will not enter sensor training mode when using the TPMS sensor training procedure	Brake ON/OFF switch Ignition switch Vehicle communication bus TPMS /VSM Sensors not trained following tire rotation	GO to PINPOINT TEST G .
TPMS indicator ON solid from key ON with no related DTCs present	Spare tire currently in use	INSTALL the repaired road wheel/tire in place of the spare tire.
	Air pressure not set to specifications listed on the Vehicle Certification (VC) label	ADJUST tires to correct air pressures. TRAIN sensors, REFER to TPMS sensor training or drive the vehicle for at least 2 minutes over 32 km/h (20 mph) to clear the TPMS indicator.
	Sensors not trained following tire rotation	GO to PINPOINT TEST H .
TPMS indicator FLASHES for 70 seconds from key ON and then remains ON solid and DTC B2872 is present	TPMS sensor(s) not trained to the TPMS /VSM or TPMS sensors are not installed Spare tire in use, road wheel missing for extended duration Incorrect TPMS sensor installed	GO to PINPOINT TEST I .
TPMS indicator FLASHES for 70 seconds from key ON and then remains ON solid and DTCs B2872 and B287A are present	All TPMS sensors not trained to the TPMS /VSM or all TPMS sensors are not installed TPMS /VSM	GO to PINPOINT TEST J .
TPMS indicator FLASHES for 70 seconds from key ON and then remains ON solid and DTC U0155, U2023 or U2050 may be present	Vehicle communication issue between the TPMS /VSM and the Instrument Cluster (IC)	REFER to MODULE COMMUNICATIONS NETWORK to diagnose the no communication concern.
	TPMS /VSM	RETRIEVE and RECORD DTCs. REFER to TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) DTC CHART .
One or more sensors will not train	TPMS sensor(s) Vehicle communication issue TPMS /VSM	RETRIEVE and RECORD DTCs. REFER to TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) DTC CHART .
One or more sensors will not train and no DTCs are present	TPMS sensor(s) Attempting to install a banded TPMS sensor that is not compatible with a valve mounted sensor	TRAIN all 4 tire pressure sensors. REFER to TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) SENSOR TRAINING . If the sensor(s) fails to train, INSTALL a new sensor(s). REFER to TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) SENSOR .
