DTC P007D: Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit High (Bank 1)

2010 Ford Transit Connect Van CargoSECTION DTC P007D: Charge Air Cooler Temperature Sensor Circuit High (Bank 1)
DTC P007D: CHARGE AIR COOLER TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH (BANK 1)

Description:  The powertrain control module (PCM) continuously monitors the CACT circuit for concerns. The test fails when the temperature is lower than the calibrated value for the sensor or a short to power is detected in the circuit.
Possible Causes:
  • Damaged turbocharger boost pressure (TCBP) sensor/charge air cooler temperature (CACT) sensor
  • CACT circuit open or short to voltage
  • Output from the charge air cooler (CAC) is colder than calibrated threshold
Diagnostic Aids:  Check the harness for intermittent concerns, poor connection, routing, alterations and damage due to contact with other components.
The TCBP/CACT sensor is a dual function pressure and temperature sensor located on the intake air tube between the charge air cooler (CAC) and the throttle body.
