Smart Unlock
The smart unlock feature prevents the driver door from locking with the key in the ignition lock cylinder. When the SJBΒ receives a LOCK command from a door lock control switch, and the key is in the ignition lock cylinder with the driver door open, the SJBΒ commands both doors to unlock.
Luggage Compartment Lid Release Switch Inhibit (Convertible Only)Β
The power door trim switch inhibit feature disables the luggage compartment lid release switch to prevent unauthorized entry into the luggage compartment. This feature allows the convertible top to be left down, and prevent access into the luggage compartment.
The luggage compartment lid release switch is disabled when the following conditions are met:
- The convertible top is down
- The ignition is in the LOCK or ACC position
- The doors are electronically locked
The luggage compartment lid release switch is enabled when:
- The ignition is turned to the RUN position
- An unlock command is received from a Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter
