Seat Backrest - Front: Disassembly

NOTE:
For component identification and locations, refer to SEAT - EXPLODED VIEW, FRONTΒ .
- Remove the seat backrest. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST - FRONTΒ .
- Remove the backrest cover. For additional information, refer to SEAT BACKREST COVER - FRONTΒ .
- Remove the backrest foam pad.
- If equipped, remove the backrest latch release lever cover.
- Detach the side air bag wire harness pin-type retainers and route out the wire harness from the backrest frame.
- Note the retainer locations and wire harness routing for correct installation.
- Remove the 2 nuts and side air bag module.
- Note the locator pin position for correct installation.
- Use a suitable tool to remove the to 2 metal upper retainers clamped to the backrest support and backrest frame wires.
- Detach the 2 lower retainers from the backrest frame and remove the backrest support.
