Turbocharger Boost Pressure (TCBP) Sensor

2010 Ford Focus S, StandardSECTION Turbocharger Boost Pressure (TCBP) Sensor

The TCBP sensor is located in the intake air tube between the charge air cooler (CAC) and the throttle body. The TCBP sensor measures the throttle inlet pressure. The powertrain control module (PCM) uses the information from the TCBP sensor to refine the estimate of the air flow rate through the throttle and to determine the desired boost pressure. The TCBP sensor for a speed density system is integral with the charge air cooler temperature (CACT) sensor.
