E-Guard Cargo Protection System: Notes
The optional E-Guard Cargo Protection SystemTM provides extra security for the side and rear cargo doors only. It is available with manual or power door locks. The system consists of the door latch, actuating cables, and shields to deter theft. The system double locks the doors by first locking the latch and then locking the door lock actuating linkage. The doors can be locked with the door lock rod, key, remote keyless entry (RKE) transmitter, or with the door lock control switch. The doors can only be unlocked using the key from the exterior of the vehicle or with the emergency release handle located on the inside of the door.
