  1. Drain the cooling system. For additional information, refer to ENGINE COOLING .
  2. Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector.

    Vehicles equipped with a manual transmission 

  3. Remove the shifter. For additional information, refer to MANUAL TRANSAXLE/TRANSMISSION .

    All vehicles 

  4. Remove the rear driveshaft. For additional information, refer to DRIVESHAFT .
  5. Remove the exhaust downpipe. For additional information, refer to EXHAUST SYSTEM .
