Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)

The ABS consists of the following components:

  • Hydraulic control unit (HCU)
  • Anti-lock brake system (ABS) module
  • Front wheel speed sensor
  • Front wheel speed sensor ring (integral to the front axle halfshaft)
  • Rear wheel speed sensor
  • Rear wheel speed sensor ring (integral to the wheel bearing/hub assembly)
  • Yellow ABS warning indicator
  • Red brake warning indicator
  • Traction control switch (TCS) (PCM controlled)
