CAUTION:
If the components are to be reinstalled, they must be installed in the same positions. Mark the components removed for locations. If not reassembled in their original positions, severe engine damage may occur.
- Remove the hydraulic lash adjusters.
- Using the special tool, remove the keys, retainer and spring.
- Remove the valve from the cylinder head.
- Remove the valve stem seal.
