2007 Ford Fusion SEL, 2.3 Z, StandardSECTION Removal and Installation

NOTE: Make sure the liftgate window glass is in the raised position.
  1. Remove the liftgate trim panel. For additional information, refer to LIFTGATE TRIM PANEL .
  2. Disconnect the liftgate window latch ajar switch electrical connector.
  3. NOTE: Mark the position of the liftgate window latch prior to removing the liftgate window latch bolts.
  4. Remove the 2 bolts and the liftgate window latch.
    • To install, tighten to 12 Nm (106 lb-in).

  5. NOTE: The liftgate window latch must be checked to make sure the latch is installed and aligned correctly.
  6. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
