SYNC System

2007 Ford Fusion SEL, 2.3 Z, StandardSECTION SYNC System

The SYNC system consists of the following:

  • APIM 
  • SYNC-specific steering wheel controls
  • Microphone
  • USB  cable and port
  • Audio input jack
  • GPSM  (vehicles without navigation)

The SYNC system is a hands-free communications and entertainment system that allows the following interactions:

  • Send and receive phone calls via a Bluetooth-enabled phone
  • Send and receive text messages via a Bluetooth-enabled phone
  • Connect media devices (such as an iPod® or USB  flash device) in order to play audio files
  • Play media files via a Bluetooth-enabled audio device
  • Produce vehicle health reports
  • Initiate an emergency call (eCall) when the air bags deploy

Not all features are available with every phone.

When to See a Mechanic
