Front Disc Brake: Removal

2007 Ford Fusion SEL, 2.3 Z, StandardSECTION Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. For additional information, refer to JACKING & LIFTING .
  2. CAUTION: Do not allow the brake caliper to hang from the brake flexible hose. Use a suitable tool and support the brake caliper.
  3. Remove and discard the 2 bolts and position the brake caliper and anchor plate assembly aside.
  4. Remove and discard the brake disc screw.
  5. NOTE: If the brake disc cannot be removed easily, apply penetrating and lock lubricant on the brake disc-to-hub mating surfaces.
  6. Remove the brake disc.
